Physicians, nurses/nurse practitioners, physicians’ assistants, pharmacists, case manager, social workers, other infectious disease or behavioral health specialists involved in treatment and care of people living with HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV).
The purpose of this conference is to increase healthcare providers’ knowledge regarding screening, treating, and linking patients to care who have Hepatitis C and HIV. It is pertinent that healthcare professionals are aware of best practices to ensure patients are supported at every stage of the care continuum and improve the quality of care. Healthcare professionals should also be up-to-date on the latest epidemiologic trends, and the impact of the opioid epidemic as it relates to HCV and HIV.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Tulane University Health Sciences Center, Louisiana Department of Health Office of Public Health STD/HIV Program, and AETC.
